Today I realized that I have been on the keto diet for eight years. That’s 4,204,800 minutes or before:
Taylor Swift got Kanyed at the VMA’s
Beyonce put a ring on it
Or Farmville was a thing.
That is a long time for a recovering dessert addict to be on a “diet.”
Except for keto isn’t a diet – it’s a lifestyle. Too cliche? Maybe – but true.
If you’d like to know more about losing weight (I lost over 90 pounds) or feeling better overall (I kicked migraine meds to the curb): click here. If you just came for the fat bombs: stay tuned.
Keto fat bombs are small, bite-sized pieces of heaven that will help you curb sugar cravings, boost energy and in most cases help you avoid that I’m Starving To Death Feeling we get the moment we commit to a diet.
Fat bombs come in all kinds of flavors: sweet chocolatey or fruity for dessert to savory avocado & bacon for a quick breakfast or post-workout snack.
My favorite fat bomb recipes fall into the dessert category -since I consider it to be one of the most important meals of the day!
In case you’re wondering – healthy fat bases include almond butter, cacao butter, coconut oil, coconut cream, coconut butter, & cream cheese.
Yes, I know cream cheese is on the “dirty keto” list and yes, I still eat cream cheese – but not at every meal.
Some folks get fancy with their fat bombs & use a silicone mold like this one, but you don’t have to go out and buy anything special. You can use an old ice tray or mini muffin tin.
Really the only piece of kitchen equipment that is mandatory when making fat bombs is your freezer – they have a habit of melting faster than an ice cube on asphalt in July.
