16+ Humerus Outdoor Skeleton Display Ideas That’ll Tickle Your Funny Bone This Halloween

Whether you’re looking for funny outdoor skeleton display ideas to make your front porch pop or punny poseable skeleton inspiration to help you create a festive Fall vignette on a dime, you’ll love this collection of Halloween ideas.

Okay, so here’s the deal. Before we get to the good part, I have to warn you…Halloween decorating can be highly addictive.

And sure, once again, I may have gone overboard with the puns and the Halloween decor, but it was for all of the right reasons.

That’s us searching for “reason.” Ok, here are a few funny skeleton ideas to (hopefully) inspire you to go outside and have fun this Halloween.

Palm Tree Hugger

We are calling this one The Palm Tree Hugger. He was posed at Grady Brown Park, in Walton County, Florida , using pure imagination – no wire, no string – no joke.

Palm Reader

This palm reader idea would be awesome for a Fall festival or a front porch. I bought the “crystal ball” at Hobby Lobby last year. If you can’t find one, you can DIY it using mirrored glass spray paint on any Dollar Tree fish bowl or thrift store find.

Shhhhhhh! I’m calling this one the “Shameless Buy My Book Plug @ The Iconic Seaside Beach” because seriously, my book is that good, and super fun fact, I wrote the outline on vacation while staying at Truman’s Hideaway in Seaside, Fl. Click this link and go buy a million copies right now.  “Good morning, and in case I don’t see ya, good afternoon, good evening, and good night!”

Okay, so I’m not sure if this one counts as a “humerus” idea or not, but I will tell you it was kind of funny to watch the group of (low-key drunk) men try to figure out what in the world we were doing with skeletons on the beach in August!

This one is called I freaking give up and surrender. It was inspired by spending two hours patiently waiting for the position of the planets and the sun to align so the mother flippin palm shadow created a silhouette that delicately tickled the edges of the picture, therefore, crafting the perfect Fantasy Island-style shot, only to give up at the last minute because my son decided to whip out his penis and urinate on the picnic basket.

This one clearly captures a moment of reflection. Obviously, our skeleton read the chapter of Rebel Keto that covers Self-Sabotage. You should, too. Click here to buy my book, Rebel Keto. Please.

Here, our subject is grateful to be grateful at Grayton Beach. (Say that three times fast.) Also, it is of great social and political import that I inform you that the Frieda Kahlo garb is available at The Zoo Gallery.

I hope you enjoyed these outdoor skeleton display ideas as much as we did. I wish I could go on all day, but the carpool line is calling my name. Please let me know in the comments if you have a favorite or a suggestion—or even better, post a picture of your skeleton display. I love hearing from readers!

I hope you have a Happy and safe Halloween! While you’re here, please check out these Halloween tips and recipes!
