Can You Eat Ice Cream On A Keto Diet?
Yes! You can have ice cream on a low carb diet, but you will need to make a few substitutions for sugar to make it keto-friendly.
Traditional ice cream – the stuff you’d get at the grocery store or Baskin Robbins is all cream and sugar – with an average carb count of 50 grams per cup.
All of that sugar is not your friend.
To cut it, and make a keto ice cream (& maybe a few popsicles) swap the sugar with stevia, monk fruit, xylitol or erythritol. Halo Top uses stevia and erythritol while Rebel uses erythritol and monk fruit. You can purchase these here and here.
